About Monica Zimmerman, LAc

I am Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and Shiatsu practitioner.  I received my Masters in Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2004.  I have completed post-graduate studies in Pain Syndromes, mind-body acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. I use this to deepen my work with patients both physically and energetically. Balancing and cultivating the Qi flow is the basis of Oriental Medicine and the work I use in treatments.   

I am also an Acupuncturist and Shiatsu Therapist for The Immune Enhancement Project in SE Portland, providing services for people going through cancer treatment, dealing with chronic pain syndromes, fibromyalgia and multiple other syndromes  that effect the immune system.  In addition, I am a contractor with Providence ElderPlace where I work with an aging adult population addressing issues such as acute and chronic pain, low immune function, insomnia, stress, anxiety, and life-transitions.
